Scott Gottlieb, the head commissioner of the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), has stated that the agency is contemplating banning the online sale of e-cigarettes, Reuters reported.
During a 25 September committee discussion on vaping which was organised by Axios, Gottlieb said the FDA would announce its next move on e-cigarettes and release statistics on teen vaping in November, according to the report.
Earlier in September, the FDA announced that it was deliberating banning flavoured e-cigarettes because of the increased interest in the products from youth, Reuters reported.
