Hauni Maschinenbau bought Italian primary equipment specialist Garbuio Dickinson, an acquisition that will strengthen research, development and service capacities of both machine makers, the companies said.
Garbuio Dickinson numbers more than 300 employees based in Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States. Mansueto Favaro, the company’s managing director and founder, will continue to be responsible for operations, Hauni said. Both companies will operate independently under their existing brands. A sale price was not announced.
“Garbuio Dickinson and Hauni will jointly develop innovative products and solutions for the future,” said Christopher Somm, Hauni chief executive. Favaro said joining Hauni would open new and long-term perspectives for Garbuio Dickinson.
