Car rental giant Hertz said it has adopted a no-smoking policy for its fleet and will charge customers USD 100 (EUR 76) for cleaning costs where evidence of smoking is found.
“By moving to a non-smoking fleet, car rental customers, car sales buyers and employees will be even more assured that Hertz vehicles are clean and safe," the company said. Hertz also operates the Dollar and Thrifty brands, renting vehicles from roughly 10,400 sites around the world.
