Hoffmann Neopac will take over the cigarillo and cigarette-tin business from Netherlands-based CM Packaging (CMP) to increase its tobacco business, the Swiss company said.

CMP will cease marketing metal packaging for cigarillos and cigarettes by the end of January and concentrate on expanding its core business in general-line and injection-moulded plastic packaging, according to the Hoffmann statement.
Hoffmann signed a long-term manufacturing agreement with CMP to establish a second production site in Europe, and enlarge production capacity for cigarillos and cigarette tins at the site in Dronten, Netherlands. (pi)
